The right is becoming more desperate as they have no one that stands
a chance in 2012. Nothing new here.

"A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the
constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker
raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference
call on Saturday.

Reps. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), Donna Edwards (Md.), Mike Capuano (Mass.),
Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Rob Andrews (N.J.), Sheila
Jackson Lee (Texas), Barbara Lee (Calif.) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton
(D.C.) “all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the
president’s actions” during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who
took part."

When someone as extreme leftist as 0bama has lost Dennis Kucinich, he has
serious problems...............

Impeachment has to be the lamest idea anyone could come up with. If
Bush can escape his war crimes then no sane person would consider such
a loon idea. That should day something in itself. Obama did not act
unilaterally and simply backed up the leaders of the actions taken.

The only thing new is that you think Kucinich is part of the "right" when he
is a left-wing nut.
Dennis Kucinich is only a "nut" if that means he stands by his
principles. Kucinich also tried to introduce an impeachment
resolution against George W. Bush, only to blocked by his fellow
Democraps. Why someone with integrity and character would choose to
continue his membership in the Party that aided and abetted Bush's
crimes is a mystery.

Whether President Obama has the authority to order U.S. airstrikes
against Libya without Congressional approval is unclear. The War
Powers Resolution of 1973 permits the president to deploy armed forces
without a declaration of war as long as it is in response to attack on
U.S. territory or troops, which has not occurred. The president must
notify Congress within 48 hours -- the airstrikes began on March 19
(the same date the Iraq war began), and Obama left for Brazil the same
day, meaning he will return after the 48-hour deadline has passed.
The president has 60 days to present his case to Congress, which then
rubberstamps a use of force resolution (the USA hasn't engaged in an
officially declared war since WWII).

Section 2(c):

"The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to
introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into
situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly
indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to (1) a
declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a
national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its
territories or possessions, or its armed forces.

Furthermore, the reporting requirements are quite specific: "a report,
in writing, setting forth—

(A) the circumstances necessitating the introduction of United States
Armed Forces;
(B) the constitutional and legislative authority under which such
introduction took place; and
(C) the estimated scope and duration of the hostilities or
involvement."

Calling it in from Rio isn't adequate.

Every President since has ignored it, as it is plainly Unconsitutional.
